A Grand Trine with Persephone and Lilith, in the Earth signs
Every new moon marks the beginning of a cycle — a quiet invitation to plant something new before we can see what it will become. This particular new moon, however, carries a rarer signature: a Grand Trine uniting the Moon, Persephone, and Lilith, all anchored in Earth.
A Grand Trine is often described as an energetic portal — a moment when the proverbial stars align in one's favor. It is gentle by nature. It asks nothing of us, offers no demands, and can be gathered gracefully or overlooked entirely. But this particular alignment carries an unusually generous charge — one associated with fortunate timing, unexpected openings, and doors that seem to unlatch on their own.
Still, a door opening is not the same as walking through it. This energy responds to those who meet it consciously. The invitation is real, but you are the one who must choose the threshold. Engagement is what transforms potential into progress.
Because this moon is rooted in Earth energy, the emphasis this cycle is not abstract intention — it is embodiment. What we wish to manifest must be met with physical, deliberate action. Earth signs remind us that dreams take root through practice, not proclamation.
The Energies at Play
Virgo is the sovereign — the architect, the healer, the quiet autonomy that finds peace through order. This New Moon asks us to notice where our sense of safety has become tied to control, precision, or the need to organize what feels chaotic. The invitation here is not to abandon discernment, but to soften its grip: to trust that life does not need to unfold according to our exact expectations in order to be trustworthy.
Persephone embodies duality — spring's renewal and the sovereignty of the underworld held in one being. She reminds us that innocence and depth are not opposites; that one can walk through darkness without being ruled by it, and eventually transmute loss into quiet, undeniable power. Her presence here poses a question worth sitting with:
What have you kept sealed away inside yourself that now feels ready to be released?
Lilith represents the instinctual self — the parts of us labeled "too much," "too strange," or "too unusual" to belong. She is the reminder that what feels like exile may, in truth, be the doorway to our deepest strength. To embrace what has been rejected — including the rejected parts of ourselves — is often the first real act of liberation.
The Invitation of This Moon
This alignment offers a rare kind of permission: to bring forward what has been hidden, quieted, or dismissed as inconvenient. The places where we've been told we don't belong, don't have a voice, or don't have the right to want what we want — this is fertile ground for this cycle's work.
Sit with these questions as you move through the coming days:
What do you want to express, create, or liberate?
Where have you been trained to submit in ways that no longer align with your soul?
What would your life look like if every rule that was made without your consent were removed?
How might you begin organizing your life around every layer of who you are — not just the presentable ones?
Working With This Energy
1. Write it down — in detail. Make a list: what you wish to welcome. Approach this list with honesty, leave the sugar coating out of it.
2. Create a small ritual of self-devotion. Choose a candle. Hold it between your palms, picture that version of yourself becoming. Light it daily for the next two weeks as an offering — not to someone else, but to yourself. We extend this kind of devotion to others so freely; this moon asks that we extend it inward, including toward the parts of ourselves we've been taught to hide.
3. Let your list rest beneath the candle. Each time you light it, let it serve as a quiet reminder of your intention.
4. Clear something physical, your car, your closet, drawer or basement. A cleared space is often the simplest way to release stagnant energy and make room for what's arriving.
5. Keep it simple. Choose one small action from your list each day. Complete it, and let that be enough. Momentum is built in small, consistent steps — not in grand, unsustainable gestures.
We'll revisit this in two weeks when the moon is full to reflect on what has shifted, and refine the path forward together. If you would like clarity this season, you can schedule an appointment with me: click here.
